Looking For a Partner for fishing the bay bridge this week

Hi, I just got my first fishing kayak which is an ascend fs12t and need a partner to go kayak fishing at the bay bridge later this week. Does anybody want to go out of SPSP Wednesday, Thurday, or Friday?

Hi Kayabe, I'm really new at kayak fishing myself and recently bought an Ocean Kayak Trident 13 after way too much thinking about it. As it turns out, I was planning to hit SPSP this Wednesday myself (but am flexible on days since I'm retired now). PM me and we can talk details.

I'd be wary about Wednesday. Winds over 11 kt and a lot of exposure at the bridge.

I was checking the weather and winds on Windfinder earlier today and as Jman said, Wednesday doesn't look too great, especially for a rookie like me. Also, I broke a tooth and have a dental appointment Wednesday AM now. EMSer suggested he might be up for Thursday, either SPSP or Goodhands. Kayabe, how does Thursday work for you, or anyone else that might be interested?

I saw the same Windfinder report. I am leaning towards Goodhands. I will be able to get over there late morning on Thursday. The area is protected and opportunities diverse

Thursday sounds awesome what time should we meet in the morning and is SPSP good for everydbody or anywhere else could work.

It seems that we are zeroing in on Thursday at Goodhands, probably a better choice than SPSP for a newbie like me. I plan to pick up the QA county permit at Anglers on Wednesday. EMSer, you mentioned "late morning". Can you give an estimate of when you expect to be there?

I have to deal with an auto mechanic first thing so I am at his mercy. I hope to be there by ten. I have a radio and I will be on channel 68

Looks like sunrise Thursday at Goodhands for me. Great place to start for those new to kayaking.
Don't for get Queen Anne county launch permit, the aggressively ticket your vehicle if you don't have one.
You can get a daily for 10 or yearly for 35 Anglers sport center or the sport center near Dominion rd exit on the shore. Remember cash only for these permits where ever you buy them for some reason.
