Launched around 0630. This was my second trip to the bridge so I still have plenty to learn. I used paddle tail plastics with jig and some bloodworms as a stand by. I caught a dink striper and a white perch on a Carolina rig bloodworm. Switched to the plastics and caught a striper in the 14" range...he jumped back in before I could get a pic.

Then I found this guy in about 25 feet of water. He was around 24+" and also went back in for another day. I'm not into keeping fish much this year. It seemed to have some sores or something on its body. It was a nice fight on a brand new rod and reel (Penn Battle 4000). Not much after him so I called it a day around 1030-1100.

The current was faster today then the last time I was out. 1/4oz jig wasn't cutting it. I need to order some heavier jig heads.

Nice catch! I don't know what I'm doing wrong but I don't catch much at SPSP.

Glad you were able to connect with a keeper. The bridge can be fickle but persistence usually pays off. They are always there someplace
