Nice work guys. I've yet to put any Spanish in the boat. Hoping to find some when I hit your secret location this Wednesday. Looks like there will be plenty of one eyed "striped perch" out there next year. Hate it when that happens (but it seems to do so all too frequently for me) thanks for the report

I Popeyed a couple at CBKA...always feel bad but seems like it just happens with the little guys sometimes. Crabs gotta eat too right.
Still a much smaller loss/bycatch ratio than the commercial guys produceJohn Hostalka

Long term I don't know how many fish become crab lunch, but very few float after I release them, less than half a dozen in the last year. I had a 16"er that was hooked deep in the gills, bled all over my kayak; it was floating for about 30 seconds, I figured it for a goner, then it righted itself and bolted back down.Hobie fleet:

Congrats on the new personal best! Good to see Spanish caught on a yak. I was out there before sun up that morning and the fog was insane. Couldn't see where my lure landed at the end of the cast at one point and needed GPS to get around. Turned out to be good day for many people.2014 Hobie Pro Angler
