Now that we're on the backside of the N'Easter I wanted to see what water conditions were like. I drove down to Piney Point this morning to see if it would be fishable tomorrow. As I got close to the ramp I noticed standing water and flotsam laying on the road. With 2 hours to go before high tide the dock at the ramp was almost underwater and would be at full tide. It was also apparent that the car would have water around the tires if we did fish around high tide. While being able to pedal right up to my trailer without getting out has a certain appeal, I'm not sure what it means for fishing. Hopefully a switch in the wind will help get water back to more normal levels.

Thanks for the report Mike. I know the Yakkers are all chomping at the bit to get out, but safety first with us.
Hopefully the water conditions clear up in a few days, and we all can get out and get "Roctober" going!

Went to Chesapeake Beach for brunch this morning. Both jetties were under water as well as the charter boat dock. White caps all through the marina all the way to the bridge. The Bay was very angry.
