Bay Bridge 7.2.11

I woke up 2 hours late so didnt splash until 830am at the spsp boat ramps. I took my livewell with me, but because i was so limited on time, i decided not to bring it on the yak and just continue on my jig the pilings. stayed on the western side, even though i really prefer the eastern side( the loss of hemmingways access really blows). had a lot of hits in 18' water, but most likely it was just perch. out in 40' water, i managed a 17incher and that was it, had to be out of the water by 11. 2.5 hours is still better than nothing

i saw mmanolis2201 and his buddy out there, hopefully you guys did better. nice set ups btw



traffic sucked, stopped before the severn bridge on my way there

forgot my camera but did manage a couple from my phone

and yeah, i was too lazy to tie a leader so just clipped the jighead directly..lol

Just got off the water was on the eaztside livelining. I now believe in live lining had some crazy intense runs but couldn't set the hooks. I when did 15not counts...managed to jig up a 16. Report with pics later now im getting some food.

It was great to finally met the master of snaggedline.

We got lucky with the traffic and got off before anglers. It was starting to backup right there at 7:30AM. We kept on the side roads and bypassed the mess. I wish Hemingway's would reconsider letting us launch from there. That launch site spoiled me and I'm far to lazy to paddle all the way over to the east side now.

Good job on jigging up some fish. Where does everyone get their BDK's from? I can never find them online.

It was a mini meet and greet out there today. I met You, YakFish, Pinch and saw Tufnik heading out and beeped at dhmjd and his porcupine on a trailer leaving the boat ramp. As far as i could tell it was a Snaggedline only crew of Kayaks out at the bridge today. Pretty cool.

I'm starting to download all my video and will put together a recap of my day tonight. Man this cold beer tastes good.

i was thinking of going to the bridge but didnt, looks like a skimpy fish day all around south r. slow, severn slow and main bay slow, might try eastern bay on sunday, i'll try to find some from romancoke a little closer to home

Thanks for the report! For what it is worth, I never do the count down thing, I have always kept a tight drag and used circles and only missed a few fish
