Slim pickins. Launch to mirror quiet conditions in the pic above, slack low, temps in the 62s. Water was sweeter than normal in Weems coming off the rains we had last night. No action and marking no big fish in Weems or Severn up to Jonas. Moved up to the more exposed mouth, much much deeper (and saltier) water, where the winds and wave action was slight with the heavy fog that rolled in the second pic. Marked lots of fish in the area but very quiet until I pulled a 22" striper and losing a 19" that threw the hook. Trolling back netted lots of dinks on my smaller paddletail but nothing on the heavier stuff.
Tonight should be amazing btw with the weather clearing up and winds picking up.
Note: all joking aside. Highly recommend a cheap compass in addition to your normal nav/gps system as a back up. The fog rolled in VERY quickly today and it was quite easy to get disoriented when there is no visibility and points of reference to get bearing or progress on your track.
