I wish I could have made that trip, but something called work and a little driving issue would not give me the time of day for this trip. Nice fish. I have always wanted to fish that area. Pinch you really do look like a Pirate.

Sorry Gents, been out of the net for a few days. Thanks for posting the pics Pinch, it was a great trip. A few of you have asked where we launched from so I'll post a map later. Just don't take you boat into the parking lot next to the launch or the restaurant owner will come out yelling. Trust me. lol. I guess they are no longer zoned for boats and will get a ticket. As far as distance is concerned, a straight paddle is 3.30 miles according to Google Earth so it's probably closer to 3.7-3.8 miles on the water. It wasn't too bad going out but the paddle back was a long one. We ended up halfway to lynnhaven in a pod of dolphins... Should have roped a couple and caught a ride. lol.

There is another spot further down the beach at the end of a cul-de-sac that may also work though. Will try on the next trip and see how it works.

Also, I checked the VA citation list and it is the second largest Sheepshead caught this year, the largest being 13lbs 7oz... So close.
