  • Mrs. Marino and Daughter Marino - Triadelphia

I was able to successfully get Mrs. Marino to kayak this evening on the local reservoir. Daughter Marino joined in on the fun. It is all part of the master plan to get Mrs. Marino involved in kayaking. So far, so good. She didn't want to paddle very far and was on the water about 50 minutes. She did a lot of resting. If the plan continues, this should help get Mrs. Marino on board to get a 3rd kayak this fall.

All photos taken by Daughter Marino. She was complaining about the whimpy zoom abilities of my waterproof camera.

    Scenic water shot.

No fish caught, but stage 1 of the plan has been activated.

That's excellent. Everyone looks at home in the yaks, which bodes well. My wife likes kayaking, but I can't get her into the fishing part of it, which is too bad.

          Next time out...

at Triadelphia, I'm going to just troll around with a walleye type of nightcrawler worm harness. I'm curious how that will work. I hear that the bass go around 22 feet deep in the summer with the thermocline, so I'm going to just do some slow trolling with the kayak and see if anything bites.

Good going. Looks like you're set up for stage 2. My wife and I tried a tandem on our first yak outing. She doesn't like it, especially the part where she has to paddle.
