On Friday I took my buddy to a local lake in Columbia for some kayak fishing. It was his first time out ever in a kayak. We fished from 8:30AM-11:30AM. Fishing was tough. Lots more weeds growing than the last time I fished there. No surface activity. Any lure with a trebble hook got fouled in the weeds. I caught 3 largemouth bass, all on 4 inch plastic worms. My buddy caught one largemouth on a plastic worm as well. Fish were all about 12 inches long. Nobody else fishing the lake when we were there. Several people who were walking on the pathway around the lake were amazed that we were catching fish out of the place. Had a great mexican lunch afterwards with my buddy. The next time we get together we will hit the lake around 6:30PM.
