Fished out of mariner point this morning. Plan was to fish for yellows and then try the docks for Crappie. Water temp was 38 degrees and cloudy skies. Headed out to the deepest canal, fished a hi/lo rig with minnows and was dragging a double dropshot rig with 2" plastics. Had to weed through the smalls to find some keepers, close to 40 fish total. No luck with the crappie throwing minnows and jigs under a float.

Thanks for the report. Most of us are not getting out much these days. That hook and worm is quite a find. You now know it attracts fish -- go ahead and tie it on to try again.

I once cleaned a crappie pit of St Mary's lake that had 6 power grubs in his digestive tract! No hooks though.

Nice mess of perch....does That bode well for the feb meet and greet?

Hahaha....were you there that year?! I think it was Moc that was shoveling out the ramp. I brought a shovel but others got there earlier and got it done ahead of time.

No unfortunately I missed that one.. we went last year and the JR ramp was all iced up and Jeremy saw that to the left of the ramp along some riprap there was water opening so we dragged through 4 inches of snow and carried our kayaks over the rocks to launch

Great Catch! You just beat this weather. I had high hopes of putting in later this week , but NWS does not have the best outlook.

I guess I'll add a snow shovel to my gear list for Feb 6th.

A friend of mine was fishing on the docks in Port Deposit this past Saturday and was catching YP on minnows. The fish are there, so hopefully the weather won't be too bad for the meet and greet.
