Heading to Jonas Green tomorrow morning if anyone is interested in joining me.
How early can you launch there? Only been there once before and don't recall a gate.

There is a gate to the lower parking lot that gives you direct access to the beach.

The gate is usually opened by the ranger at sunup.

The white perch seem to be a little tardy this year in the big river.

By Tuesday they may have arrived.

Good places to check are the various rip rap walls between the two bridges.

If they're there, those walls will hold them.

Was on the water by 6:30, calm and beautiful. Headed straight out to the bay. Trolled among the chummers for a few hours. Caught a bunch of short stripers, 12" - 16". Fished the pilings of the bridge on the way in and caught one big fat white perch. I was a great day to be on the water.
