Hit the east side sunday evening from 5pm to dark. lots of current with the south wind and incoming tide. It was bordering on being a little too rough but I didnt have far to go from the G dock launch location. Left the LL gear at home and fished jigs the whole time.
Think I hooked fish on the first two casts and it was a pretty steady pick after that with BKDs and zoom fluke baits. Key was a 45 degree cast upcurrent allowing the bait to touch bottom and hopping it back past the pilings. Most fish were on the upcurrent side in 18-25 feet of water. Kept two in the 22-25 inch range and released several others. Saw a few others catching as well.
