Bay Bridge 7/20/2011

Heading to the BB tomorrow after work to see if the fish have come back after the weekend crowd has dispersed. If anyone feels like joining, I'll be on the east side pilings and I plan on launching from dock G.

Plan is to LTJ and try out my new back up rod! I have been looking for something I can shove in the revo hatch that won't be in the way around the pilings and work for catching bait and as a backup should I snap my main rod...

It's 3ft graphite series from bass pro. It's silly, but I think it will jig up to an ounce just fine! Should be fun.

So what is the deal with dock G. Anyone with a kayak can launch there? or do you have to say you know someone? Is anyone looking to fish the east side of the bridge saturday AM?

I'll be launching from the east side this saturday am. Haven't decided on an exact time yet. Probably in the 6-7 am range. I had no idea about this Dock G until this past Saturday. I planned to head out at Sandy Point but traffic was horrible getting into the park so I just continued over the bridge figuring I could find somewhere to launch. I knew there was a marina by Hemmingways so I figured I could pay to launch there. I found the marina management office and asked them if there was anywhere I could launch my kayak. They pointed me to Dock G and told me I could launch there free of charge...the only stipulation was to keep the area clean and not cause any problems.

I'll be on the East side of the bridge launching from Hemmingways Dock G. Should be there by 5 or so, depending on traffic. Jimbo should be joining sometime after that.
