Over the past few weeks I've fished in the Chesapeake beach area, severn, and patapsco. Great fishing everywhere. Even got my PB perch! And a couple perch fishing surprises!

wow...some nice fish there......that sofft crab in belly of rock is a big one. The largest i ever found in a fish was about half that size....and in a bluefish surpisingly!

I would estimate that soft crab was a good 6" That striper must have eaten it recently as it was largely in tact! I've never actually caught a fish with a blue crab in it. I've seen lots of little mud crabs in perch, but this was a first for me.

You are killing that Chesapeake fishing and crabbing game! Its so nice to see healthy fisheries because all the tidal fisheries close to me are sooooooo filthy with pollution I am a 2 hour drive from any waters I would consider eating fish from.

You are right, seems fishing is outstanding in a lot of places. Fished above the WW Bridge across from Old Town recently and the striper fishing was great. Although with only a few keepers which I’d never keep up that way anyhow. St. Clements Island – southern MD. Some points around the island and Heron Bar we covered with them. (Perch and croaker as well). Chesapeake Beach this past Sunday and up to Holland Point. Few keepers but the place was loaded with shorts that bit all day. Some of the biggest perch I’ve seen as well.
