Anyone fishing this weekend, preferably saturday?

Looking to get out on the water this weekend, and preferably target blues or croaker, but won't turn down rockfish or perch either. I even would consider going after blue cats on the Potomac. Would prefer to do Saturday since the forecast looks better, not as hot or humid and less chance of a thunderstorm in the morning at least. Anybody going out and looking for an addition to their group?

Several of us are fishing the Curley's Marina white perch tournament Saturday in St. Mary's county...

I think I will hit the Severn early and troll for blues and stripers then do some wp fishing along piers and in the creeks. That wp tournament would be a 2.5 hour drive for me, can't do that 2 weekends in a row.

yakscientist: I don't know if Blues are in now; and don't know how far they come up the Severn. I have had bad luck in Piers fishing to WP. But, better luck with the stone walls.

Another option, is do a search, on this site, for where the Severn oyster beds are. The Croakers are *Starting* to come in, as mentioned in this bulletin: http://www.anglerssportcenter.com/an...port-06292016/

They said that two weeks ago, croakers in the Severn were spotty at best. But, that was two weeks ago. It might have changed since then.

Well I was going to hit the severn, but if you hit up the Chesapeake bay bridge on the Western Bay side, let me know, that is if you don't mind company. I prefer not to fish alone, but I'm also not trying to drive more than an hour or so, which eliminates going over the bridge.

Definitely some small blues in the Severn, at least below the rt. 50 bridge. And the docks around there are loaded with perch. Got some nice perch recently around the docks by the western side of the CBB, as well.

I'm fishing somewhere closer to OC on Saturday, otherwise I would join you. I am targeting the same species plus a few others.

Yeah I did the M&G last weekend on the eastern shore, definitely don't feel like driving that far again.

Will definitely keep you in mind if I make the trip, haven't yet though. Might fish this upcoming weekend, not sure where though
