  • Reds in the Lower Potomac

I got a late start and hit dead low Tide on a high pressure day, so I moved the kayak to 10-15 feet of water and fished among the Crab traps and the screen lit up like a Christmas tree. I couldn't catch anything trolling all my tails got bit off. So I decided to throw on a bottom rig and two pieces of Walmart shrimp and Bingo caught a double header Red on one hook and a monster croaker on the other. Continued to catch a couple more Reds and croaker while jigging. The wind picked up as predicted about 3pm and got off the water. There was a ton of fish with big fish mixed in with the schools and I didn't hang around when they were ready to feed.
