Launched at Goodhands this morning 6:40 AM (sunrise 7:05, high tide 8:23 AM) with high hopes of some surface action given the dropping water temp's. Fished shorelines all in the creek area and Prospect Bay with no luck. At 9:15 gave up on surface action and went to 3" paddletails (solid chartreuse and solid white) and caught a dozen or so Rock in the 10"-13" size class in 45 minutes, so they are definitely there, just don't want surface lures. Started trolling back to the ramp and at 10:00 AM the rod went down hard and I pulled in a 21" Rock. Nice end to the morning! He's in the 'frig now! Circled around a second time and pulled in a 16". Back to Ramp by 10:20 and off to work. Didn't see any birds working anything.
Maybe some surface action next week?
