time to go catfishing

A buddy and I will be attempting to catfish this saturday. any ideas if the bite is still good in the upper potomac?

I would certainly think so- this time of year the blue catfish are moving into deeper holes- cut alewife is my favorite big catfish bait- Vienna Sausage is my favorite eating size catfish bait...big night crawlers works, too...not too sure about the NNW winds though- been hard to fish lately with all the winds kicking up

Are there Blues in the upper Potomac? I thought they were more known for the tidal areas

No, but am sure they are there. Screen was lit up the whole day.

You can catch blues throughout all the tidal portion of the Potomac. I haven't heard of anyone catching one above chain bridge, and hopefully they never do.
