Nice job, one and all! This is "combat" fishing. And I don't mean to compare. Hmmm, what I might give for 20 years! In the fall, I remember starting out at Sandy Hook, NJ about 4pm; and working our way south, hitting different beaches all the way down to Barnegat Inlet! 10-15lb bluefish to start and finishing with 10lb bass before dawn. What did Ron say...
"fish the season with specific bait and tackle for the fish you are targeting and you catch the fish- time = fish- plain and simple-"
Truer words have yet to be spoken! Kudos, guys!

In my youth, I used to be a pier rat on the NC Outer banks- I had season pier passes for three ocean piers- Frisco, Rodanthe and Kitty Hawk piers- Back then they cost $120 for a season pass that allowed you to fish round the clock- I fished EVERY weekend they were open regardless of weather- where depended on what the pier was catching- sometimes Kitty Hawk had an early run of big Reds in September or Frisco had Tarpon in July and tons of Kings in October- Rodanthe was legendary for world record size Red Drum around November 5th every year. Elvin Hooper caught the world record 90 pounder there in early November..I had a Ford F-150 custom Van with a bed in the back that was my hotel room Friday until Sunday afternoon- I built my own heavers and had matched Abu 9000 and 10000C casting reels- I fished on end of the pier with 60 or so of the other "regulars." You had to be accurate and able to put your sinker in the same spot at least 100 yards cast after cast. Caught and released hundreds of 60 plus pound Red Drum every fall- Big Rockfish, Big Blues, Tarpon, King Mackerel and big Cobia in the spring and summer-
Frank "The Net" Whealton made my fast sinking 12 foot radius cast nets I used to catch mullet and menhaden for bait and for sale to finance my fishing hobby. I sold a lot of mullet to most of the bait shops and marinas back in the day- to say I was into fishing was like saying Pinch might go fishing this week- I am too old and have no desire to fish "combat" high endurance fishing again- been there-done that-"Lady Luck" 2016 Red Hibiscus Hobie Outback, Lowrance Hook2-7TS
