Launched at JG about 7:15 with Harlan, Jman, Superfish01 to a flat surface, still low water level, and overcast skies.

Started trolling south in deeper waters, saw some marks on screen, but no bites. The Severn still has masses of leaves in areas that hooked up with my jigs. Met up with Superfish at Greenbury and we decided to go to Whitehall. The water surface was like a mirrow. We moved all the way to the Went near mouth of Whitehall Creek and made a pass by the shoreline, but no takers. Headed back to Greenbury, heard on the VHF that Harlan hooked a 27". Headed back up river in 20ft hoping might find them there, saw a few marks, but no takers. Got back to JG (10.2 miles)- nothing. Am thinking that the wind has driven the fish out of the river into deeper waters of the Bay proper.John Rentch

It was nice meeting up and chatting with you this morning, John. Too bad the fish never made it to the business side of our fishing lines. I, too, think that most of the fish have left for deeper waters in the bay and have proof from a buddy who was trolling from a boat and came home with these this morning, not too far from where we were.
Oh well, that's fishing for ya.
On the other hand, congrats to Harlan on his 27" rockfish!! I saw his picture and it was a nice fatty.
Thanks for the pic, John!Last edited by supfisher01; 11-26-2016, 08:21 AM.
