8/1/11 major croaker slayin

hey guys
i went out in the south river today and cast 5 inch swim baits around all the pier and pilling in the riverand cot about 20 undersized stripers. a 15 inch strips will hit and swallow a 5 inch swim bait anyway i alwasotried out clam fishbites.i have cot alot of spot and crokaer in virginia ffrom the surf with reel clams so i figured that fishbits crlams would work to .they did.i cot about 10 crokaer and about 30 spot at the mouth of the south in selby bay, also did some livelining in the river in about 17 ft of water and cot a few blues on spot and mud minnows.

Nice.. I gave up on fishing the South after skunking in it every time I tried this year.
