  • TONY, you saved my life. Please contact me.. FT Smallwood 4/2/17

Launched today at ft. smallwood. Was pretty rough at the start, but towards 10am it calmed down. I turned left to talk to my dad, and leaned against a wave when doing so.. flipping over out near the 2nd clam line bouy in front of ft. smallwood, just before the brewerton channel. If Tony wouldn't have saved my life I wouldn't be here to post this. He was probably a half mile away and paddled over dragging me to shore. My Jackson's hatch wasn't completely tight and the yak filled with water. The coast guard was able to retrieve the yak.

Tony, if you're reading this.. please contact me at yakinzak@gmail.com.

Glad your ok, I was out on the end of the point when I saw DNR RUSH over and then an ambulance on the shoreline.
I got back and a ranger was there asking if I knew you and filled me in.

Ft. Smallwood keeps a detailed record sign-in for yak anglers, you could always check in with them to inquire.

Nice job guys, glad to hear it ended ok. It can be scary out there in rough conditions. The mouth of the Patapsco can be unforgiving in wind.
