I fish for stripers a few times a year in the Chesapeake Bay, usually to make kayak fishing videos for Memorial Day and Veteran's Day.
For 2017 Memorial Day video, I went for stripers yesterday (May 19, 2017)
This year I downsized the lures from 9" shad to 5" and 6" shads based on tips from Tyler's (Tackles and Baits in Chesapeake Beach, MD). I trolled 2-3 miles off Breezy Point marina in 32-35' of water.
I caught small stripers first @16-21". Eventually I found bigger stripers on the FF. I landed 2 @26" and 30".
