  • Video from 8/10 BB

Short video this time only shows 3 fish, I was more editing it to get my buddy matt into the video than i was to show mulitple fish. I think fish after fish after fish would be boring especially since the camera angle on is always the same. If i did put all the fishing into one video Id probably fall asleep watching it. Hope you guys enjoy!

PS. Matt's name on this forum is Slap.

I think its his 4th or 5th trip and he had 10-15 fish. He actually caught the biggest fish of the day. He Just learned how to jig on his last trip and is getting the hang of it.

I need a few practice trips before the tourney. just bought my jigging rod combo... went cheap on the 1st rod, but if it breaks then I just get a new one. got a pretty solid reel though, should handle all the flounder and rockfish I can catch. gonna use it Saturday for the 1st time. gonna take a while to get used to casting.

what kinda rod/ reel is it? Matt in the video bought a 7' MH Carbonlite rod from bass pro and paired it with a Abu Revo stx baitcaster.

37 fish in 4hrs is a heck of a catch rate. I think that's a decent percentage of all the stripers I caught last year.

Awesome video. The slo-mo on the cast was a nice touch. Looks like Matt's got the over-the-shoulder striper redirection down, too. I'm not sure about your unhooking style, though. That could be fun to explain to the ER nurse.

thats actually not my normal dehooking style, lol. I had lipped a bunch of fish prior and my thumb felt like i had power sanded it. I was just thinking about your ER comment and it made me laugh. That would be funny.

I enjoyed the video. You have gotten very successful at finding good fish around the bay bridge. Nice going.

Sounds like that will work nice! I like those millionaires, not sure why but I'm a sucker for the round style.

If you snap it, go for one with an exposed blank in the handle, much more sensitive!

And if you snap it you should have no issues getting it replaced, I have now snapped 4rods on the cast which is odd. Sounds like a winner though. I dont think ive seen a millionare reel so im pumped to check yours out.

                          PINCH,

What do you do for a living that you get so much time on the water? Coming from a jealous married with 2 young kids 36 year old who gets on the water 1x a month if lucky.

If you are snapping the rods on the cast you might be exceeding the rod blanks lure wt rating. Where did the previous blanks snap?

                              Oh

And great job on the video and fish. You have got the mojo going strong.
