What a nice day for fishing. Started at our first stop and in three cast's we landed a nice bass and missed four more hits. Moved around and caught a few pesky bass and missed a Potomac Pike. Moved around and had no hits for a while but could see the fish move around. Changed to poppers and walking baits and bam two more nice bass. Moved back in the creek to fish some really good looking pads and got some follows but no hookups. Then just as we where getting ready to go back to poppers a nice bass destroyed a horny toad. Finished the evening with a few more on poppers. Nice evening trip. Feels good to be back in the backwaters.
