I've been there often, but always early spring or winter. It's a great pickerel lake.
My last visit was in May and the vegetation was in overdrive with algae also starting to bloom. I fished primarily top water to avoid the thick undergrowth.
I haven't seen it since May so I cannot comment on the water quality now. But some of the smaller Eastern Shore ponds can get a thick cover of algae in the summer.
