Left work at 5 and got the g dock around 6. Fished the bridge till dark. Nothing beats leaving work and go fishing....Lots of members showed up. It was good meeting everyone, for those who I haven't met yet. Jigged the eastern span and ended up with a 25 and 32inch.

Another member caught a tagged fish. Let us know if its diamond jim!

I decided to join the gang, despite still recovering from the OC trip last Saturday. Fishing was slow according to Pinch, but a few of us did manage to pull out some decent fish. I caught my first bluefish for the year measuring 12 inches. Later I also caught two 11 inch white perch. During the last hour of light in 20 feet of water I hooked up with a big rock that pulled me around. I got the fish to the side of the boat and when I tried to get it into the boat, it shook its head and got away. I want to use my net, but I forgot it at home. You would think I would learn from Pinch's mistake in OC when he missed a big flounder when he did not have his net.

About 20 minutes later I hooked up with another big fish in 15 feet of water. I measured it when I got home where I can get a better measurement. It turned out to be a 30 inch rockfish. This one I made sure went into the boat. I used a Pinch 1 ounce jig head, with a gray BKD with blue specks in it as the bait.

Nice SLAM Martin! That would have been very competitive in the tournament.

I started working shallow water near shield and got 8 or 9 and biggest was 31" at home. I had two more that I thought were over 30, but my eye is off I guess since I thought the 31" was bigger. They were probably upper 20s. I was running late from work and I forgot my bag of jigs so I just had a random bag of previously used bkds and 2 hogys. I lost almost all of them! Lots of snags for me last night. I got two of the big ones on a 10in white hogy and 1.5 oz jighead, then I lost it... Fun night and good to see everyone.

Martin, that's a great shot man! It has a huge head man! I wish I could have gotten out there earlier.

Thanks for the tips Redfish, I'll be heading to BPS some time this week to stock up. I did catch a small perch, but lost a ton of jigs on snags. But It's still a blast just being out on the water. Nice seeing everyone again. Glad you were feeling better Martin.

CB Kayak, let me know when you want to do some fishing in Southern Maryland; my son is moving down to PLO. I’m sure I’ll have to visit so I might as well take the kayak and check out the water.

Nice fish Martin- looks like a blast- I just got back in town today from a four day business trip- I hope to get a chance to try for a snake tomorrow in the creek or maybe Saturday- it has become a damn obsession at this point-my yard needs mowing and the tomato plants have dozens of ripe "maters" I need to do something with in my garden- hope to wet a line before I have to fly out Monday to New Mexico-:

I ran out of big plastic... I think there were some big fish in there that night and in shallow water too!

I forgot to film anything but here's the two I brought home.
