  • Bb west side 8/20

Launched from spsp marina at 6:00am. 77 degree water. Incoming tide, very little wind, calm water and not much current. Another nice morning on the water. No spot found, kept a few small perch to try and live line, had one tail bite off. Spent most of the morning jigging white jig heads with white soft plastics of various lengths and shapes. No luck here. I did catch one short striper and a few large perch using a white home made trout bomb in 1 oz and 1.5 oz. Left at 11:00. I did notice while leaving that most of the boats were anchored about 300 yards south of the bridge. Some were at the pilings but alot were south of the bridge.

I'm not sure what the differences are under water between East and West, but people seem to catch a lot more on the East side for some reason. It's pressured pretty well too, boats are always at the pilings every weekend.

East side is cleaner ........ bay currents are north on the east side and south on the west thus more polluted ......... not tides just current

Memory maker, that is interesting, I was surprised that the water was not as clear as I thought it would be. There was some suspended sediment that made it cloudy.
