  • Kayak Buddies

I am new to kayak fishing and I am looking for some buddies to fish with. I used to be a boat owner but sold it back to the folks I bought it from. I live in Cecil county. I bought my WS ATAK140 last year. I went out a few times on the Northeast River, and Sassafras River. I am willing to travel a little to fish with a buddy.

    Jim,

You're a little north of us but there's a group near Annapolis, some retired, who regularly kayak fish the Severn, various sites on Kent Island and Eastern Shore ponds. We're in no hurry to fish locally in our current weather but we'll be out again when the temps moderate. You're very welcome to join us then.

Not specifically. I met a couple of them briefly a few months ago. Over in the main forum there is a Susquehanna perch invite thread.

Awesome. I am retired so as soon as the weather breaks, I will want to go.

SMOG! Love it. Is there a FB site or anywhere to learn more? Are you guys in the Eastern Shore?

Naw...we are just an informal group of like-minded retired guys getting together for fellowship and to wet some line. Big Mike lives in St. Mary’s County, Yak67 and I live north of there...Ictalurus (Bill) is younger and not retired, lives in Mechanicsville, and sometimes fishes with us...as does Kevin Fry, who lives near Ridge...we fish mostly in St. Mary’s County, although I fish a bit in Charles County, mostly at Mattawoman Creek and Patuxent River at Benedict...planning to take a few “road trips” this year...love to fish the Eastern Shore, but it is a haul for me..
