The fleet was in and the river was covered with rentals and kayaks.
I hiked about 3/4 of a mile upstream and fished from the rocks with several others.
I fished from 10:30 -12:30 on a slowly outgoing tide. Not much current seen besides the usual river flow. Water visibility was about 2 feet and slightly stained.
Numbers wise, fair to middling, about 20 fish, mostly Hickories, in 2 hours including 2 double headers. I fished a bunch of different colored darts and small spoons, with only a pink and white dart getting a majority of the hits. It will get better!
As I was landing my last fish, I reached for the line and somehow snapped of the tip top of my rod, fortunately only about 3/4 of an inch, very fixable. Then I realized that it was Friday the 13th. Shoulda known.
