Anyone getting out tomorrow, Sat, April 28?

Was hoping to get out for a few hours in the morning if anyone wouldn’t mind the company.

Got to stay on the west side of the Bay - anywhere between Chesapeake Beach and SPSP.

I'm waiting for the water temp to get to 60 and the air temp to stay at 70.

I wish I could, the winds look ideal. The water may be very churned up from all the rain. But I bet the shallows might hold some schoolies in the morning.

Saturday was a GREAT (weather) day on the water. The morning fog was a bit sketchy with boat traffic but was manageable.

Bite was slow.. but just enough to keep it interesting. Caught mostly schoolies in 15-20ft of water during the low tide progression.

Air temp saturday way 1000% better than sunday. I was stuck doing yard work, i'm saving up my outings for May15th and beyond

Got out yesterday for a few hours in the morning.

At the beginning it was light winds, but within a couple of hours it turned downright uncomfortable with a steady 12-15mph (and what felt like an occasional 20mph gust) out of the NW.

Caught lots of fish, mostly schoolies in the 18-19.5inch range, but strong fighters. More than once my rod(s) went down hard and I half expected a mid-20inch fish each time only to be surprised by a feisty youngster. Water temps ranged from 49deg to a balmy 54deg in some places.

I'm gonna try again this Sunday - forecast looks promising. Hoping others can join me.
