Wow Saturday was perfect in so many ways...weather was stunning and the fish did bite good. Amazing to happen after a rain event just two days before. Limited out in 3 hours and had some nice YP to add to the stick. And this nice LGMouth.

Isn't it great when the fish cooperate? Three spider crappie rookies and one veteran and they all played like veterans. More fish in the cooler but, the pole was creaking.

Sunday was not so great with high winds and tall waves. But flipped some docks and scored some nice crappie.

We knew there were fish in our usual spot and wanted to go to them but, the wind and seas would have something to say about doing that. We made short hop to the creek and set up. Greg and Jackson had never done this. As we're no waking into the creek, he said something that made me ask about keeping fish today. He said he didn't think so. All he knew about crappie came from the innerweb. He thought they were a blue gill size fish. It took a while but the first fish in the boat was 14". Now, were keeping fish. The spider bite was not there so, we flipped docks. I was hesitant because Jackson was about ten. I wasn't sure if he could do it well enough. I was wrong. He was pretty good once he got the technique down.
