  • BB EAST Side 8/29

So my friend Capt. Luke just bought a new outback and wanted to give the BB a try as we both had off work yesterday from running his head boat after the storm and to get ready for the tournament.

Got on the water around 4:45 pm yesterday and started jigging. Nothing was happening and the current wasn't really running and there was a slight breeze against the current. Eventually Luke jigged up a 19 inch rockfish.

He then saw some birds working south around what we thought was the Camp Wright Beach. He peddled all the way down past there can caught a few 18 inch rockfish and some blues on the troll down on a rat l trap. He caught more on the way back as well.

I was following behind bust a screw came loose on my Mirage drive, so I decide to stay closer to hemingways. Caught a small rock and missed a few blues.

Also, caught a great sunset. Nice calm evening out there, but the water definitely was a little murky, should clear up sooner than later!!

Nice work! Fish on the first outing... Much better than I did!

I'm hitting the bridge tomorrow, hopefully those brown trout from Baltimore will not make an appearance. Might hit the Chester/EB instead for better water quality.
      Used to fish more.

Views like that sunset and the bridge as a backdrop make slow trips worth it.

How is the captains business going?
