Really cool footage. Thanks for sharing your pictures with me yesterday as well. For anyone wondering what the status of Blackwater fishing is after the flooding and high water- I fished for snakehead from 6am-1pm today, shallow, deep, and way back in the marsh. Frogs, chatterbait, etc. Didn’t even get a hit. I saw Dale, his buddy, and one other guy there and all of them reported the same thing- skunk. There was what I think was a carp spawn going on. As I said to a buddy, it was like an orange orgy back in the marshes. Splashing and everything you could hear from across the water. Everything I saw back in there was carp, but I’m guessing some SH were probably back in the muck too. Just couldn’t get them to bite. I’ll be back when the water gets back to normal and the wind lays low! Beautiful fishery though, and worth the drive for the scenery.Matt

I saw the road posts on FB, I don't think they are getting that large of fish from roadside.
I was planning to head down all day sunday, but the flood conditions and now seeing 90% skunk reports i'm glad I skipped the trip.
Drone vids are cool.Hobie Ivory Dune ProAngler 14 Lowrance Elite 7 ti TotalScan

Very cool drone footage by the OP. Just curious, when you fly that far, are you able to maintain visual line of sight or are you going off the camera view? You can PM me if youre worried about the FAA watching.Last edited by nhunter344; 05-21-2018, 01:16 PM."Fish on a Dish" - 2017 Jackson Big Tuna

Hey Beautiful video, thanks for sharing it. I live about 20 minutes from this spot (but work in DC). I didn't realize the snakehead population had grown to where you could actually spend a trip targeting them. I fish saltwater Tangiers Sound and Ocean from OC south to the CBBT. I haven't fished fish water since I was a kid, but I may give it another go. It's got to be better then getting obused out on the Bay by these winds. If anyone is fishing down this way give me a shout out.

Mark--
Those are very kind words, I appreciate them. Hoping to get better and maybe at some point get licensed so I can charge for it.
Oldbayrunner-
Just a mavic pro. I'm only shooting in 2k, but once I get around to finding a monitor I like I'll probably bump to 4k. Still learning filters and LUT's and all that fun stuff.

As a hobbyist, maintaining LOS is only a recommendation, as is the 400 foot ceiling and most of the other "rules" of drone-dom. It's insured, I don't fly it above people or cars, and I pay close attention to airspace restrictions, and I don't charge for my work, so I'm safe from the FAA. I've flown it as far as 2 miles from my position. I've also got iphone shots of carp in the actual road as well, but I didn't post them up. Lots of moving turtles and snakes as well. Like...actual snakes, not snakeheads.

Susquehanna River Fishing Club's annual "Snakehead Smackdown" event is this coming weekend, you may also check out "snakeheadlife.com" or "snakehead fishing around the world" fb groups. Loooooooots of folks hunting the eastern shore for sneks. From what I can discern, they're BIGGER on the western side but FAR MORE prolific on the eastern.2016 NuCanoe Pursuit 13.5
