Decent bite Eastern Bay

Yesterday my brother in law and I ventured into the eastern bay following the recent reports. Tried a little bit of everything, Fly/ Jig and Troll.
I managed one on each and 2 on the troll. I was marking fish in 20+ FOW but no takers. I saw one CNR caught from a charter but the wolf pack over the oyster bar was coming up empty while I went thru it to give a look.
I did see two rays explode on top, I think they were being chased by a shark but no one else saw. Biggest fish for me came on the fly at 18” on a clouser minnow.
All fish were caught in 10 FOW. Didn’t mark any that were caught.

It seems like the bite slowed down considerably from a couple weeks ago. I went out this past Friday and two of us managed to catch 20 or so schoolies, but nothin over 17”. Didn’t mark much at all on the depth finder. The CNRs were everywhere. I wonder if it is mating season for them? Lots of splashing on the surface.
