Bill with a broken cable on his rudder. Kevin Fry got a call about water pump broken at home. Kind of reflects the fishing.

              Lunch at Courtney’s

Fishing was difficult. One guy got 7 small stripers but he was the exception.

                    Live from St Inigoes

Fellowship was great...food was good...beer was cold...and three really big CNRs today for me...first one was in my honey hole...cast to the spot I caught my first Redfish of the year last week and hooked a big ray...it was on like Donkey Kong...ruined the spot...pissed me off...so I fought it to the boat a few times and finally decided to beach it...white perch cooperated..I brought home a mess of fish for the table...biggest perch was a fat 12 incher.

                        Thanks for updates and photos.

You guys were troopers in today's heat.

You caught some nice fish and had a good time socializing afterward. That's what makes this game fun.

I'm glad to hear that the group had a fun time. Sorry that the bite was slow and that you did not encounter any specs this year. I am currently about 1,000 miles to the south and caught plenty of specs during the past two days. This morning we launched in the dark near the mouth of Tampa Bay. I threw topwater poppers for the first 45 mins and caught 7 specs over an 18" grass flat with many other swirls on other casts. By 6:45 as the sun came up a bit, the bite slowed to a crawl. In the summer mode here, the bite is on from sunrise until 9:00 to 10:00. Then it slows until dusk.

We dodged rain showers, thunderstorms, and even a brief funnel cloud before calling it quits about 10:00.

It was great seeing everyone today! Thanks Big Mike!! After lunch fishtank & I did some more casting & enjoying the beautiful surroundings. The only thing that tarnishes the parade is the annoying jet skiers who were in obvious
Law-breaking mode by speeding around in the no-wake zone & zooming too close to the launch & pier & other people at high speed. I caught another 2 big white perch on rockfish lures to add to my 2 crabs & 1cownosed ray. The incoming tide produced a few additional fish for us. Peace!
