I would like to thank Coop as well for the incredible day. This was my first M&G after barely a year of kayak fishing. This past Saturday was by far my best experience kayak fishing to date due entirely to the great group of guys here who share their knowledge and experience both online and out on the water.

I had many "firsts" saturday: First striper caught on kayak (there would be 25 more by 1030); first double hook-up while trolling; first time wrapping braid around my Propel drive prop due to inability to control said double hook-up; and first tying of a double uni knot on the water thanks to having to cut my braid after wrapping around prop (but still managed to get the 18.5" striper still attached onto the kayak. I especially want to thank Mark and John Rentch for passing on their wisdom as i followed them around most of the morning; especially in regards to troll until you get a hit than cast a while. Worked very well, though I couldn't get out of the 14" to 18" range but it was a hell of a lot of fun.

This was one of several "almosts!"

I also learned I need a propel weed guardian. Wrapping all that grass around the braid I couldn't cut out around my prop made for some extra fun pedaling.

Again, thanks Coop and all for an awesome day! Looking forward to the next one.
            Mike

It was very nice meeting you Mike.

              You're a quick study!

I saw lots of fish enter your boat.
