Joined Gary at Clark’s on the Patuxent today for some early morning fun. Early on it was evident that big strippers weren’t around so I put on some Gulp for some fun fishing. Picked up 3 catfish a perch and around half a dozen schoolies out on the main stem. Decided to head back into the coves and worked towards Abells Cove when I picked up this speck.
Hmm, maybe I should hide that pull tab on my PFD from future pictures
In the far corner of the main cove there is a small pool that the entrance has always been to shallow for my Mirage drive. The water was so high at just past low tide I was able to slip in. No fish but still cool to be in it. Here’s the entrance .
Picked up another speck of similar size and then started coming across just odd things.

Picked up a few more small rockfish and a nice perch. Gary got perch and a few decent rockfish but no keepers. Shortly after we took out it started to rain hard so our timing was perfect.
