South Bound.... two weeks ago...
all pics of the group and fish on the privated blog.
a well worth journey... heading southward of the local stomping grounds....
First day/night was with the air heavy and warm... the last of the tropical weather we had been experiencing...
arriving at the campsite early mid day.
The gang all showed up.

First morning a beautiful sunrise on the bay.... we gathered and headed out in different directions.
Birds were heavy in numerous locations... people caught trout and rockfish... and a few flounder...

On the second day winds came in with tremendous force.... we hunkered and down and fished protected shoreline...
perch and flounder among the rocks....

Third day much the same...
One of the group at sunset found this little cove that produced numerous specs that had retained it's water temperature...

The wind continued through the fourth day...
I shot this photo at max zoom... can't tell much but a massive amount of birds, including a squadron of pelicans enjoying the feast.
In my binoculars it was fun to watch the pelicans... a couple of boats were around but didn't brave the shoals... and sat in a protected cove.

On the fifth day... the group headed home... I stayed to enjoy another beautiful night...

but even heavier winds were predicted... and heavy rain after 3am.
So I packed up everything and bivouacked in the prepared cargo trailer.
The winds shook the trailer heavily that night and woke me up twice.
