  • Yellow season!

It took two different Western shore Rivers to get it done today, but I grinded out that limit of 10-12 inchers. Minnows under a bobber or just drug along the bottom on a Jighead were the ticket.

Yumm...tasty filets...minnows under a bobber...like we used to use live shrimp under a popping cork on 1/16 oz. jighead for reds in the Gulf marshes...to get it below the pesky speckled trout...love fried yellow perch filets, white flaky mild...yummm

They don't fight particularly hard, and once you find them they're pretty easy to catch, but I look forward to catching them (and frying them up!) every winter!

That's a nice stringer that you have Ryan. Every year you do a great job at catching these beautiful fish.
