  • Weems Creek 9/12

After watching everyone fish this weekend at the tournament decided to try Weems Creek early this moning. White perch fishing was excellant, used my usual 1/16th oz bright colored jighead with orange 1" grub. I would have won the prize for longest perch at the tournament, nice fat 12.5 inches. Caught all the fish near the shore in 2-4 feet of water, mostly in the shaded areas. First catch was 20 feet from the ramp.

Nice going. It is great for us Annapolis area fishermen to have close-by access points like Weems Creek. Sometimes we take them for granted, but it sure is nice to have a short drive, a short paddle, and then start catching fish.

Your 12.5" perch is among the largest reported from the Severn creeks in the past two months. Congratulations.

It is nice, I will probably go again in the morning, as of last week only live 5 minutes from the launch. Might have to change my user name now that I live in Annapolis.
