  • Moving to the area

    Greetings all,

I will be moving to the Annapolis area this summer and plan on hitting the water when I get there. I fish from a Hobie outback. I have been in Florida for the last 18 months or so fishing and catching mostly trout and reds. I am looking forward to getting in to some freshwater fishing up that way as well. any of you guys crappie fish or know of any general areas to fish. I look forward to getting to Maryland and getting on the water. hopefully I can get out with some of you guys and gals also.

    Tightlines.

Welcome to white perch and rock fishing
There’s a handful of tidal river / bay access sites in and not far from Annapolis.
Good freshwater bass or crappie fishing can be found on the Potomac or some of the reservoirs.

Annapolis is a short car ride away from numerous millponds on the Eastern Shore in MD and DE.

I've caught crappie in each of the ponds I've fished there along with LM bass, bluegills, pickerel, yellow and white perch.

Welcome to the forum and to the area, Str8 Yakkin.

I hope to meet you on the water in the Severn or its tribs or across the bridge on the Eastern Shore.

@Mark, can you say more about the millponds and how to find them?

        Thanks,
        Mike

The Annapolis and surrounding area is 'base camp' to a lot of members of this forum. We look forward to seeing you on the water once you settle in.
