Smallwood State Park early July 4th

Caught a 14.5 and a 17 incher...top water frog Culprit. All the the left of the launch...I covered the entire shallow area...back up till I couldn't yak anymore...not a single snakehead sighting...water was super clear, about a foot of free water above the vegetation. Quite a few snapping turtles...2 were doing it under the yak...bumped the bottom a few times...which was my fault...I parked on top of them trying to fish the narrow channel back into the grass.
