I decided to hit St. Jerome’s Creek at 2:30 pm yesterday afternoon on high tide and fish the outgoing...started out good, white perch were cooperative, noticed some threatening looking thunderheads in the distance, but looked way far away, so off I went...caught and released six healthy, frisky Stripers (on crankbait)...the thunderheads looked like they were headed my way so I slipped back closer to the launch...just in case since I was fishing alone...lots of small flounder bites...tiny little critters...hope they grow up fast...using a 1/4 oz. white bucktail dressed with 3 inch white Gulp...decided not to push my luck as it looked like storm was coming...it was...got rocked by a really nasty thunderstorm headed home, tree down in highway on Rt. 5 N...glad I was in my truck when it hit...
