  • Lower Slower Labor Day

Went out for a late afternoon trip today with a buddy. Though a bit windy, we still trolled and cast. I had success with trolling crystal minnows. My buddy did well casting and trolling. All healthy fish, but all schoolie rock. Only other item of note was, as best we can determine, a lizard fish. Hooked while casting towards shore. Apologies for the poor picture quality. My phone case got a bit of spray on it in the rougher conditions. Also not sure why the picture got rotated. Fish was quickly released. First time I've encountered a lizard fish.

Glad you found some, and yes that’s a lizard fish. We went out in the morning to very difficult conditions and very difficult fishing. You did much better than we did.
