Fished Friday morning on the Severn and saw a few other yakkers out there. The weather forecast was completely off with the wind coming from the opposite direction and there were white caps in the main stem of the river when it was supposed to be around 7 mph. I trolled to the mouth and back up to Weem's creek to seek shelter. I used spinners in the creek to try for perch. There were a lot of perch, which made some pretty good fish wraps, but I also caught two pickerel. Hopefully that is a good sign for the late fall/winter fishing.
