For the guys who fish Tangier and around Kiptopeke what are some places to stay over night? Is the best place to launch at kiptopeke? Unfamiliar with fishing around there but would like to give it a try.

I went down in the fall and fished the ships on a windy day and made it out to Latimer the following day. Highly recommend. We stayed in a cabin in Cherrystone, Cape Charles.

The campground at Kiptopeke is great and they have cabins/yurts available too. Recommend booking in advance in-season. There's a KOA in Cape Charles I think too.

For fishing near Kiptopeke it depends on time of year and what you plan to target. You can catch just about everything there. The shoals and the Eastern shore section of the CBBT are fun too, but it's recommended to have a buddy and prior experience before tackling those.
