I tried to fish the South River at Quiet Waters park this morning. The water was the dirtiest I have seen in years. It had about 3 inches of visibility and to make it worse, there was floating SAV all over the place. I tried top and bottom, spinners, jigs etc., no takers. I saw a few rock breaking and dropped a popper over them but they weren't interested. Sure was a nice cool morning though.

No kidding, I was down at homeport today and the water was thick. Still caught some perch. The ospreys still seemed to be catching too. Bouy data says the turbidity iscat 4 but the south river must be way worse than that.PigPen - Mt Airy

I was thinking of going out of there tomorrow but, I was at Sandy Point today and it was still pretty nasty. The main thing is I don't want to wear myself out dealing with all the SAV.John
