meeting lots of great non kayak fisherman on the road.
Down at Point Lookout for the first leg of the NFA tour.
Nothing crazy going on... first week most were not catching much at all at the Pier.
Things picked up a little this week as spot, kingfish, and some croakers coming in.
As far as kayaking got numerous small rockfish... nothiong crazy.
Caught my first perch of the season... four, nothing crazy. I hear it's a little better up north a bit.
I'm not local, so could be just me here... probably so.
A fair bit of my time is sorting the gear out... prepping for the days a head.
A typical day is might be in the photo below... just doing a little bit of cleaning and sorting.

I did, today, get my personal best Tailing Red Fish....
I had spotted him in shallow water... sneaking in silently as not to spook..
and tossed a number of times to entice him to the lure.
It sure was exciting... when I brought him to the boat.
Taking great care to measure... he came in at 7 inches.
My first and personal best Red Fish.
sorry no photo of the epic fish...
On the other hand... I did have some luck on this nice looking fellow...
20 or about inches...

the journey continues... next week... who knows where... not me...
On the road...

ohhh... FYI... if you saw me in "your waters" guarantee I haven't been trolling this board as I haven't had internet in weeks.
