Has anyone tried wade fishing in the Monocacy River near the Devilbiss Bridge boat launch? It is a nice looking stretch of water but I'm trying to figure out if it would be more productive to wade upstream or downstream from the bridge. Any pointers would be appreciated.

have never fished there but that place brings back memories. back 1986 or 87 we had a real indian summer and a couple days after christmas me and 4 or 5 buddies decided to camp out on the rocks directly under the bridge (no wonder I have back problems). we just started a campfire, drank beer and B.S.'ed. all night. A old conversion van pulled down near the river presumably to "park". they got all hung up in the mud. The van was still there in the morning! Sorry about the off topic. Your post just triggered my memory.

Glad I stirred up some fun memories and allowed you to reminisce. There's now a parking lot under the bridge and a fence that would stop cars from going to the riverside. FYI...the van is gone but the rocks are still there. Still wondering if the fish are. Maybe I'll give it a try this week.
